  • [solved] A few questions

I'm currently looking for a webbased 2d game engine to use in upcoming commercial projects (mainly PWAs for tourist sector) - my current 3d "weapon of choice" is playcanvas.

Before looking into this amazing project (I recently was introduced to ct.js by a video of gamesfromscratch) my candidate was phaser.js but to be honest ct.js seems to be a much better choice especially given the better editor experience and documentation.

But as this is a kind of long commitment I wanted to ask a few questions before I dive deep into the code:

  • Does ct.js license allow the usage within a commercial, non-open source project (for example an export of a game or experience to be used within a commercial website-toolkit/cms)
  • Is there a roadmap for the development (features, applications or focus in general, …)
  • Are there any plans for commercial plans around the platform? For me this would actually be a good thing, as solid funding is key factor for future sustainability (similar to playcanvas which has pro plans)

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

    Yup.

I often write my thoughts on Discord, and there is always a Github repo with its issue list, milestones, and kanban boards used for planning.

    Nope.

      Thanks for the heads up!
